The AIR Varsity Commander is a lightweight and low cost helmet choice, available in size 2XL (unlike all the other helmet models around)..

Without compromising the integrity of the shell, it is designed to be 12% lighter than the Pro AIR II. Component parts are easily interchangeable to allow for each athlete to be custom fit, providing for proper protection and maximum comfort.

Smooth spherical shell aids in deflecting impact. This helmet is also designed to offer maximum performance and comfort. It is treated with Ultra-Fresh to inhibit growth of bacteria, mold and mildew that cause odour and stains. Large ventilation holes allow air to circulate and keep players cool. Third chin strap snap included to allow for player preference in chin strap selection. Rust resistant stainless steel hardware.

Each Air Varsity Commander helmet comes with a soft cup chin strap with longer straps for use with SUREFIT slots. It also comes with 3/4" firm universal jaw pads.

Facemask not included. Takes the same XL masks as the Air XP.

NB : Measuring for helmets is not a precise art.  The shape of your head is a factor, as well as the size.  This means you may (for instance) be a Large for an ION 4D helmet but a Medium for the Air XP.  There's no way to be sure without trying the helmets on.  You may also need different size jaw pads to get a good fit (various sizes are available separately).

See if you can borrow someone else's helmet first to check the fit.  Or, make an appointment to come and try all the helmets on at our fitting room.  If all else fails, we have an excellent Returns Policy, but that will inevitably cause extra costs and delays so it's great if you can order the right size first time.
